I don't usually shop first thing Thursday morning, but today is a day off school and my girls were both on sleepovers. Since I felt comfortable leaving the boys at home to play the wii (with my 13 yo in charge), I headed out to Jewel and Meijer solo. What a treat!
Here's what I bought:
Jewel:
14 Fuze drinks, 0.99 BOGO. Used seven $1/2 from the 10/24 SS to get them all free. Cost: 0.54 cents in tax.
Meijer:
Six Hungry Man dinners, $12.00. Used six $2/1 coupons from Facebook.
Seven cans Wolf Turkey Chili, $3.50. Used seven 0.50/1 from 10/24 SS.
Three Coffee-Mate Creamers, $4.50. Used two $1.50/1 printables and a $1.50/1 catalina coupon from Target.
1 Loaf Sandwich bread, $1.50.
1 bag apples on clearance, $1.04.
Nine bottles Old Orchard Juice, 3/$5. Used three 0.75/3 MM, four $1/1 reduced-sugar printables, and five 0.50/1 printables.
Four boxes Mrs. T's Pierogies, 3/$5 with one free. Used three $1/1 printables.
Three 1/2 gallons Smart Balance Milk, $5.97. Used three $2/1 from 10/31 RP.
2 Tubs Country Crock, $1.98. Used two 0.40/1 printables.
Totals with tax were $16.16. Paid with $12.00 in Meijer store coupons and $4.16 in cash. Got back $1.00 mfg coupon for the Country Crock for a net cost of $15.16. Total savings: $87.55.
The Hungry Man dinners are pretty high in calories and sodium, so I won't be sending them with my husband to work (he's watching his diet). I think I'll split one for the kids for lunch and monitor their salt intake for the rest of the day. My girls will be thrilled with the Fuze, and I'm predicting they'll be gone by the end of the weekend!
