PaperbackSwap!

pbswap

Do you all know about PaperbackSwap? It's an on-line book swapping community, and our family loves it (but then, we are all readers!). Here's how it works.....

You get together the books that you've read that you no longer want. Log onto Paperbackswap.com, create an account, and list your books. When someone requests that book (and it could be a loooooong time before anyone does, or it could be a matter of hours!), you agree to wrap up the book and ship it to the person who requested it. You take it to the post office and pay media mail shipping (usually just a few bucks) to ship it off.

When the person receives it, they long onto Paperbackswap and tell them that they have the book. Then Paperback credits your account with 1 credit. With that credit, you can browse their listings and select a book that YOU want! You request, and it is sent to you at no cost at all! If you don't have books to trade, you can also buy credits.

I like to save up my credits over the year and use them up just before Christmas. Books make such great stocking stuffers! And they don't just have paperbacks...I've received a number of hardcovers. My son has found some rare chess books, too!

Check them out here and have fun with this one!
