Bricklink!

bricklink

Do you have a LEGO lover in your house? Our house is just full of 'em! Last year, all our 5 yo wanted for Christmas was Lego Star Wars mini-fig characters. You know, the guys that come in those big, expensive sets? I was talking to a friend this afternoon about how we were able to purchase them individually on Bricklink.com.

Bricklink works kind of like ebay, in that you make your purchases from individual sellers. Most sellers have "stores" set up, so if you can find a seller that specializes in whatever you are after and buy everything from that one seller, you can save on shipping costs. You place your order, Bricklink contacts the seller and tells them what you want to purchase, and then the seller confirms the order and sends you an invoice with all the shipping cost information. Most of the sellers have minimum purchase requirements, but many of them are really small (under $5). Bricklink is a world-wide community, so you are going to find sellers from every corner of the world. Shipping Legos across continents is pretty inexpensive, but you can always stick with US sellers if you want to keep it simple (and fast!).

So there you are! A way to buy your Lego lover the mini-figs he (or she) is coveting this year without breaking the bank on those big expensive sets!

And if you have a really special set with just a piece or two (or more) missing, this is the site to buy them! If you're in the market for Legos, check them out at Bricklink.com!
